Preparation of High Tenacity Nylon-6/ABS Alloy and Studying the Fracture of the AlloyZHANG Kai-zhou1,QIN Shu-hao2,YU Jie1,LU Sheng-jun1,TU Xing-wen3(1.Guizhou Engineering Research Center for Modified Polymer Material,Guiyang 550014,China;2.Department of Polymer,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou 310027,China;3.The Southwest Residence of Air Force,Guiyang 550001,China)Styrene-malefic anhydride(SMA) has been demonstrated to be a highly effective compatibility for polymer blends of Nylon-6 and ABS.The relationship between SMA contents of Nylon6/ABS/SMA blends and morphology feature and mechanical properties was researched.The mechanical properties in different temperature and different humidity and the fracture behavior of the blends have also been researched.It was shown that,the compatibility of Nylon-6 and ABS was improved by adding SMA.SEM also showed a noticeable morphological change in the blends on adding SMA,such as reduction in the particle size of dispersed phase and more uniform distribution.Nylon-6;ABS;compatibilization;morphology
