An Empirical Equation for Specific Heat Behavior of Na_2O--CaO--SiO_2 Glasses Sun Chengxu;Gao Zhoudi;Gan YinghongBy the Steady Drop Method the specific heat behaviors of three kinds of Na_2O-CaO-SiO_2 glass products, flat glass, container glass and ware glass, are measured with the copper block calorimeter. The experimental data are dealed with by using micro computer, thus a useful empirical equation to calculate average specific heat for these glasses under 750℃ is obtained. The theorectical explanation is carried out for this equation and the its precision is compared with now available equations. It is shown that the equation given by this paper is more precise.
