Abstract

Study on Mechanical Properties and Structure Configuration of PP/Talc Composites LUO Yang-yun 1,DONG Li-jie 1,LIU Qing-min 2,WANG Yan-bing 1,XIONG Chuan-xi 1 (1.School of Materials Science and Engineering,WUT,Wuhan 430070,China; 2.Shenzhen Petrochemistry and Plastic Cement Joint Stock Company,Shenzhen 518055,China)In this paper the formula, the dosage of the different filler and the macromolecule coupling agent are studied which influence the mechanical properties and structure configuration. Also SEM was used to analyze and test the structure of the PP/talc composites. Conclusions are as follows: with the addition of talc and the coupling agent, the strength of the composite first increases and then decreases, with a optimum value in the 20% of the talc and 1% of coupling agent. Results show that composite effect tough fracture more easily with the disperse of talc treated with coupling agents.PP; talc; composites
