The Research on Hydrostatic Lubrication of the Plane Enveloping Worm Gearing Chen LeiThe plane enveloping worm gearing of hydrostatic lubrication is a new type of worm gearing. It can be applied both to the graduated mechanism of heavy gear machine tool and to power drive in Some situations. Applying relative theory of gear engagement and hydrostatic technique, this paper expounded the engagement conditions that is required to realize hy- drostatic lubrication of the plane enveloping worm gearing, and suggested two methods of determing parameters of the place of pocket according to these conditions, that is the nomogram methed and the methed of shape and place of second kind side curves. Begin with analy sing guide normal curvature in normal direction of contact line of tooth flank as well as its variation, the tooth flank near the contact line on worm was proximately processed to sim- ply research to properties of hydrostatic film. On the basis of the above, this paper through determing seal side place of film introduced conception of efec- tive loading area, and researched pressure distribution and loading capability as well as rigidity of hydrostatic film. Take the fixed restriction as an exam- ple, some main equations for performing design and study of hydrostatic lu- brication have been given. Lastly, the subject of drive continuity under hy- drostatic lubrication was discussed and verified. In the paper, author calculated same practical examples and enumerated partial results.
