熊猫型保偏光纤制造因素对其双折射的影响

摘要

为研究熊猫型保偏光纤制造因素对其双折射的影响,在对实际的复杂模型进行了讨论和简化后,采用基于热-结构-电磁多物理场耦合的有限元分析方法,对熊猫型保偏光纤进行仿真分析。结果表明:光纤的双折射随应力轴和双折射轴偏移角度的增大而减小,应力区沿慢轴轴向的位置偏移及应力区的形状畸变均会导致光纤双折射的不稳定。

Abstract

Effect of Panda Fiber Manufacture Factors on BirefringenceXIAO Zhi-xin1,2,ZHENG Yu1,XU Zhou-long1,JIANG Dong-qing2 (1.School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering,Central South University,Changsha 410083,China;2.Department of Mechanical Engineering,Hunan Institute of Technology,Hengyang 421002,China)The analysis method mainly based on the thermal-structural-electromagnetism multi-physics field coupling theory was adopted and the model was simplified in order to clarify the effect of panda fiber manufacture factors on birefringence.Results showed that the birefringence of panda fiber was reduced when the angle of stress shaft and birefringence shaft was increased.It led to the birefringence of the panda fiber unstable when the stress area was shifted and deformed.polarization-maintaining optical fiber;birefringence;the finite element method;the photo-elastic theory
