An Optimal Mix Design of High-grade Highway Concrete with High Bend-press RatioHUANG Li-pin,LUO Su-rong (School of Civil Engineering,Fuzhou University,Fuzhou 350108,China)An optimal mix design method is developed to obtain the high-grade highway concrete with high bend-press ratio. The properties of the pavement cement with the anti-break admixture are achieved in the presented study. It is indicated that some factors should be taken into account to obtain the economy pavement cement with high flexural strength according to the presented test results. The factors include the quantity of the cement, the amount of the anti-break admixture, and the compatibility between the anti-break admixture and the cement.Using the reasonable amount of the anti-break admixture and the reduced quantity of the cement, the presented optimal mix design can raise flexural strength of concrete to more than 6.00—7.00 MPa at 7 d age and 7.00—8.00 MPa at 28 d age respectively.high-grade highway;pavement cement;concrete anti-break admixture;mix proportion;flexural strength
