Experimental Research on Working Behavior of Dog-bone Style Rigid Connection Joint DAI Shao-bin,LIU Wen-ji,HUANG Jun(Institute of Design and Research, Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan 430070, China)Using peseudostatic test method, the experimental research on two dog-bone style rigid connection specimens and one normal bolt-welded joint specimen was carried out. Through imposing low period repeating horizontal load on these specimens, their destroying behavior and working behavior have been analyzed. The conclusion indicated that the dog-bone style rigid connection has bigger connection rigid and better behavior of absorbing earthquake energy. The welding seem stress of beam-flange is the major factor which decides the behavior of dog-bone style rigid joint and only the better welding can exert the function of the dog-bone.dog-bone style rigid connection joint; working behavior; experimental research
