An Electrical model of Cement Mortar During Loading Song Xianhui Sun Mingqing Xu Dongliang Li Zhuoqiu School of Science,WUT,Wuhan 430070,China.Electrical current or voltage is produced as the compressive stress is applied on cement mortar specimen. This phenomena is called as mechanoelectric effect. In this paper, the electrical model of this effect was investigated. In the model, cement mortar during loading is regarded as an electrical current source. The resistance is imposed on water when it flows through the porous matrix, and this is the origin of the internal electrical resistance. The capacitor is made up of electrodes and cement mortar.
