The Orthogonal Experimental Method For Design of a Roller Type Overrunning Clutch Wang XiaojiangIn this paper, the orthogonal experimental method is used to design the I-type roller overrunning clutch. Four main parameters (Z, α, d, 1) concerned in strength and self locking and capacity of the clutch are analysed. Selection principle and optimum combination of main parame- ters to transmit the largest twisting moment are determned under the conditions that not increase overall dimentions. Optimum combination of tolerance levels and basic deviation of each element are given.
